JTP (Union of Interpreters and Translators, Czech Republic) and FIT Europe, joint organizers, welcome you to a European Round Table on New Developments in Translation Tools and Technology, on Saturday 15 March 2014. This event will be held in JTP’s Prague headquarters and will offer a day of practical lectures and topical advice.

The past year has seen a wide range of new developments, with more innovation promised for 2014. The Round Table is a major event in the lead-up to the FIT World Congress in August 2014. Its practice-based approach will be a launchpad for the New Developments theme that is integral to the dynamic concept of the World Congress.

This Round Table is part of a series of events for member associations, arranged by FIT Europe’s Steering Committee, in response to the wishes of the 2011 General Meeting in Bucharest. JTP has kindly provided premises (with WiFi access), and the Round Table will be led by members of FIT Europe’s Technology Group. FIT Europe is delighted to offer this opportunity to discuss cutting-edge technology in the historic centre of Prague, Czech Republic, and the organisers are pleased to announce that this event has the support of the EC DGT Prague Field Office.

Networking is of course a key feature of such events, and the Networking programme starts on Friday 14 March at 17.00 with a guided tour of the Old Town, followed by a dinner cruise on the Vltava. Accompanying persons are most welcome to join us.
Three options are available for this event. We look forward to receiving your registration and to seeing you in Prague, in the Spring.
